"Are you ready?" the captain asked me. "Always had been." With that, we began our voyage across Kalimdor. During the day, we marched, on and on. The night, we set camp, started a fire, told stories from back home, and got completely smashed on ale, trying to make the experience a little more fun. When we finally arrived in the Barrens, we were given what may be the most foolish task ever. The captain told all of the footsoldiers to assult the horde base dead through the front. We were outnumbered 4 to 1. It was suicide. He assured us that the sabotours would get the job done. Nobody wanted to die. As expected, we saw countless orcs awaiting us, armed and ready. We stood in silence, under no ones command, until one brave soldier stepped foreward and shouted, "For the Allience!" and he began to rush in. The rest of us followed. We didn't know what we were getting in to. What happened before my eyes was the most brutal fight I've ever experienced. We were holding our ground, but we were losing numbers quickly. I saw many of my unit die before my eyes. I saw no consequence in this, for they knew what they signed up for. But then i saw my childhood friend, who was fighting alongside me at all times, get decapitated.
I stood there, still, staring at his body oozing out blood. I couldn't believe he was dead. I looked up to see the orc that killed him, laughing triumphantly. I shoved my sword right through his eyes. I knew that had killed him, but it wasn't enough. I continued to recklessly stab the corpse, until my vision faded from me, as did my conciousness. I was struck by a maul. When i regained concoiusness I found myself in a military hospital, with all the other wounded dwarves, humans, and elves. From that day on, i continue to strive myself to train.
