With my submission my thoughts were this: 1. Indelibles are a clandestine operation who seek to keep the world in balance. Sometimes that means going to war and sometimes keeping the peace but always from a bit behind the scenes. So, a big stinking castle would make us too much of a target. Instead it would be more of a manor tucked away on the top of some forested mountain in an out-of-the-way corner of the world. 2. Not all Indelibles bed down in the manor every night. Most people spend their nights closer to the current hotbed of activity. Right now that would be Dalaran and Icecrown. 3. To account for our numbers rather than build up and expose ourselves, we build down into the mountain side. An extensive labyrinth of tunnels have been dug out by dwarven master engineers to hide our size. (I will address these in future versions of my rendering) 4. In my imagination the hall becomes something of a retreat. A place for our guild to regroup, train and plan without the threat of immediate violence and the distractions of global politics. (Of course Cataclysm could change all that.)
